About the author: Welcome to my website! I’m a resident of Southern California, and enjoy learning about the cultural variations of burial practices both here in the United States and in other countries. Lower on this page, I have links to some of my other pages. These include discussions about water cremation, green burial, the non-profit group that organizes placement of donated wreaths at the graves of military veterans every year, and more!
There is very little information online about the graves of many Native Americans or black slaves. This, of course is due to White Americans considering these groups as a nuisance or less than human, not worthy of a “Christian” burial. As I find information about memorials or efforts to preserve Native American and African American grave sites, I will share that on these pages!
